September 12 Sees 249 Clashes with Intense Assaults Focused on the Pokrovsk Front

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: On September 12, 2026, Ukrainian Defense Forces engaged in 249 combat encounters against Russian troops. The most intense fighting occurred along the Pokrovsk axis, where enemy forces launched relentless attacks. According to operational reports, the adversary conducted 2 missile strikes and 98 air raids, deploying 348 precision-guided bombs and utilizing 11,357 kamikaze drones. Additionally, there were 2,815 artillery shellings targeting civilian areas and Ukrainian military positions.
Several settlements in the Sumy region came under fire, including:
- Pysarivka
- Ulanove
- Khotin
- Yastrubshchyna
- Sadky
- Ivovzhanske
- Vilna
- Mogrytsia
- Luzhky
- Seredyna-Buda
In Chernihiv region, the settlement of Hirsk was shelled. The enemy also intensified airstrikes around Sinne, Sukhodil, Tovstodubove, Luzhky, and Kindrativka.
Ukrainian forces continue to mount a vigorous defense and counterattacks. On September 12 alone, they destroyed two enemy personnel concentrations, four artillery units, and one drone control center. Enemy losses that day amounted to 1,520 troops, 2,142 drones, and 77 artillery systems.
Enemy Casualties Since February 24, 2022
From February 24, 2022, through September 13, 2026, total enemy combat losses have sharply increased. Personnel losses are estimated at approximately 1,506,900 soldiers. Equipment losses include:
- 12,344 tanks
- 25,330 armored fighting vehicles
- 4,681 units of specialized equipment
- 148,259 cars and fuel tankers
Artillery losses are also significant, with 49,678 artillery pieces, 2,120 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,635 air defense assets destroyed.
Ukrainian troops maintain strong defensive positions across multiple fronts. On the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, ten enemy assaults were repelled near Sadkiv, Bachivska, Ulanove, Hirky, and Ryzhivka. The South Slobozhansky front saw 14 attacks thwarted in areas including Izbytske, Starytsia, Lyman, Vilcha, and Komisarove. Along the Kupiansk axis, the enemy mounted three attacks on Kurylivka and Novoosinove, while four assaults were stopped near Lyman, Novoselivka, and Cherneshchyna.
On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 29 enemy attacks across locations such as Shakhove, Molodetske, Bilytske, Serhiyivka, and Udachne, as well as in the directions of Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, Stepove, Dorozhne, Svitloye, Shevchenko, Matyasheve, Novohryshyne, Hryshyne, and Novopidhorodne. Meanwhile, no assault activity was recorded on the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovsk fronts. In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of Russian offensive group formations have been observed.
The frontline remains highly volatile with ongoing intense clashes, underscoring the sustained nature of the conflict and active engagement from both sides. The rising toll in personnel, equipment, and artillery highlights the ferocity of battles, particularly on critical axes like Pokrovsk. Operational data reflects Ukraine's determined resistance, successfully halting enemy advances and delivering counterstrikes that could shape the region's evolving security landscape.
