Ukraine War Update

According to Главком: As of April 22, Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces recorded 127 combat engagements along the front line. Over the past day, the enemy launched 44 airstrikes, dropped 151 guided aerial bombs, and deployed 5,650 kamikaze drones. A total of 2,362 shelling attacks targeted Ukrainian settlements and military positions. This marks the 1,519th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Frontline Situation

On the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis, the enemy carried out 105 shelling attacks and conducted two airstrikes using six guided bombs. Additionally, Russian forces launched two assaults near Bochkove and Okhrimivka. In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near Petropavlivka and Kivsharivka. On the Lyman front, two enemy attempts to advance near Drobysheve and Dibrova were halted.

Meanwhile, on the Sloviansk axis, Ukrainian forces pushed back two assaults near Yampil. On the Kramatorsk front, an attack near Nykyforivka was stopped. In the Kostiantynivka area, 17 enemy assaults were recorded, all of which were repelled. The highest level of enemy activity occurred on the Pokrovsk axis, where 30 attacks were launched. Occupying forces also tried to improve their positions on the Oleksandrivka front with five attempts, while 13 attacks took place on the Huliaipole axis.

On the Orikhiv front, the enemy advanced toward Novoandriivka. On the Dnipro River axis, Russian forces conducted two assault operations near the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island. The frontline situation remains tense, with ongoing combat engagements and shelling from the opposing side.

The intensity of fighting on the front indicates that both sides continue active military operations. The rising number of shelling attacks and attempted assaults confirms that the conflict remains in an active phase, with a potential for further escalation. It is important to note that such events can significantly impact the humanitarian situation in regions affected by the hostilities.
