A fragment from a Russian drone struck him, piercing his heart and damaging his lungs, causing his death. Vitaliy had been passionate about football since childhood, training at the Shakhtar football camp and competing at the regional level for SC Renet.

In 2023, Vitaliy moved to the Czech Republic with his mother, where he worked in a factory. However, in August 2026, he returned to Ukraine and settled in Chabany, where he started training in mixed martial arts (MMA). His unexpected death is a profound loss for his family and friends.
