Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka saw the heaviest fighting on August 25, as 203 engagements were recorded
Frontline review: August 25
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: In its daily frontline assessment for August 25, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 203 separate engagements along the front, with Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka seeing the heaviest action. Ukrainian defenders there repelled repeated attacks-24 near Kostiantynivka and 36 in the Pokrovsk sector.
Russian personnel losses for the day were put at 1,450 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian forces struck three concentration areas of enemy troops, five drone control points, and two command-and-observation posts. Equipment destroyed during the day included:
- 7 tanks
- 10 armored fighting vehicles
- 74 artillery systems
- 4 multiple-launch rocket systems
- 1 air-defense system
- 9 ground robotics complexes
- 1,723 unmanned aerial vehicles
- 533 vehicles
- 10 pieces of special equipment
The enemy carried out 81 airstrikes, dropping 270 guided bombs, the General Staff said. Russian forces also used 10,498 kamikaze drones and fired 3,122 times at populated areas and Ukrainian positions.
Elsewhere along the front
Fighting was also intense in other sectors. On the northern Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, two enemy assault attempts were stopped; Russian forces launched three airstrikes using 12 guided bombs and carried out 77 shelling attacks, including seven with multiple-launch rocket systems. On the southern Slobozhansk axis, eight attacks were repelled near Izbystske, Starytsia, and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces tried twice to advance near Kurylivka and Kivsharivka. The Lyman sector saw seven enemy attacks. Around Sloviansk, there were four assault actions near Dibrova and Kryva Luka and in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka. In the Kramatorsk area, three attacks were aimed at Yurkivka, while four attempts were made in the Oleksandrivka sector toward Ternove, Oleksandrohrad, and Krasnohirske.
The Huliaipole sector also saw three attacks toward Verkhnia Tersa, Bilohiria, and Chervona Krynytsia. Near Orikhiv, defenders stopped one enemy push toward Pavlivka. No assault actions were recorded on the Pridniprovsk axis, and no signs of offensive groupings were found in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
Since the start of the war, Russian personnel losses have reached about 1,480,750. The situation on the ground remains difficult, but Ukrainian forces continue to hold defensive lines and respond effectively to enemy operations.
The intensity of daily combat underlines how long and fierce this war has become. Despite significant losses on both sides, Ukraine's organized defense and rapid response to enemy moves show why continued military and strategic support is essential to keeping the front stable.
