According to Главком: On July 8, a total of 219 combat engagements occurred along the front line. Russian forces launched 1 missile strike using 4 missiles, conducted 52 airstrikes dropping 176 guided aerial bombs, deployed 5,977 kamikaze drones, and carried out 2,169 artillery bombardments targeting Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and civilian settlements. The heaviest fighting was concentrated in four key sectors:

• Sloviansk
• Kostiantynivka
• Huliaipole

Battle Details

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces eliminated 37 Russian soldiers and wounded 10 others. They destroyed an artillery system, a vehicle, and specialized equipment, while also damaging 3 artillery systems, 2 vehicles, and a drone control post. By evening, 2 clashes were still ongoing in this area, with a total of 26 attacks recorded near the settlements of:

On the Kupiansk axis, there were 2 attacks toward Novoplatonivka and Kivsharivka. In the Lyman sector, 8 assaults were repelled near Shiikivka, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Yampil, and Lyman.

On the Sloviansk axis, Ukrainian forces halted 23 attempts to advance, particularly near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Riznykivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. As of evening, 1 clash was still ongoing in this sector. In the Kramatorsk area, 1 attack occurred near Yurkivka. On the Kostiantynivka axis, 22 assaults were repelled near Stepanivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, and Oleksandrivske.

On the Oleksandrivka axis, 2 attacks were stopped near Voskresenka, while in the Huliaipole sector, 21 assaults were repelled near Hirky, Huliaipilske, Rybne, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve, Novoselivka, and Charivne. In the Orikhiv area, 1 assault attempt was recorded near Shcherbaky. No assault actions were reported in the Dnipro sector.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced Operation Ashan, during which 1,180 targets were struck deep within Russian territory.

Ukrainian troops destroyed or suppressed 262 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. The frontline situation remains tense, with high-intensity combat across multiple sectors.
