Rostyslav Vardanian's Milestone

According to МВС: Known by his callsign "Armani," 24-year-old Rostyslav Vardanian has become widely recognized for his expertise in countering enemy drones. He initially served as infantry before transitioning to drone operations, where he personally destroyed roughly 500 hostile UAVs. His crew, during the same period, has accounted for more than 700 downed drones in total.

Methods and Recognition

Vardanian's first takedown was accomplished using nothing more than a stick, a rope, and a Mavic drone. Later, he adopted net-based interception tools, which greatly boosted the team's effectiveness. On August 24, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine along with the Gold Star order. Despite the honor, he remains humble, saying:

"I don't see myself as a hero. Real achievement is lives saved, and every member of my crew is a hero." - Rostyslav Vardanian

His story highlights how a new generation of soldiers is leveraging modern technology to defend the nation. In today's combat environment, drones play a decisive role, and skilled operators like Vardanian are reshaping the battlefield. His case also underscores the value of teamwork in the military, where success often depends on close coordination and mutual trust within a crew.
