He initially served as infantry before transitioning to drone operations, where he personally destroyed roughly 500 hostile UAVs. His crew, during the same period, has accounted for more than 700 downed drones in total.

Vardanian's first takedown was accomplished using nothing more than a stick, a rope, and a Mavic drone. Later, he adopted net-based interception tools, which greatly boosted the team's effectiveness. On August 24, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine along with the Gold Star order. Despite the honor, he remains humble, saying:
