On December 5, restrictions on electricity consumption will take effect in Ukraine: details and schedules
Restrictions on electricity consumption in Ukraine
According to ХВИЛЯ: On December 5, 2023, measures to limit electricity consumption will be introduced in Ukraine. These measures will apply in all regions of the country due to the consequences of Russian massive attacks on energy facilities, which have led to significant problems in electricity supply.
Electricity outage schedules
The hourly electricity outage schedules will be implemented from 00:00 to 23:59. The volume of outages will vary from 0.5 to 3 shifts, allowing for a reduction in the load on the energy system. Additionally, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers will also operate around the clock, aimed at ensuring the stability of electricity supply in the country.
These electricity consumption restriction measures are a response to the difficult situation in Ukraine's energy sector caused by external aggressive actions. They are intended not only to conserve resources but also to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply for the population and industry. Furthermore, the implementation of outage schedules may be an important step in stabilizing the country's energy system amid war.
