According to ХВИЛЯ: On January 8, a southern cyclone will sweep into Ukraine, bringing complicated weather across the country. Snow is expected in the western regions, while the north and Vinnytsia are forecasted to get wet snow. The rest of the country is expected to have rain, with heavy precipitation in some areas. There is also a possibility of wet snow sticking, ice formation, and ice slicks.
The wind will intensify to strong levels. The air temperature will be:
- in the west, ranging from -3 to -7°C;
- in the north - from -2 to +3°C;
- in the center - from -2 to +6°C;
- in the east - from +3 to +6°C;
- in the south - from +7 to +14°C.
In Kyiv, wet snow and rain are forecasted for January 8, with strong northeastern winds. The temperature at night in the capital will drop to -4°C, while during the day it will fluctuate between -1 and +1°C. After January 9, a cooling trend is expected in Ukraine.
