What Mental Health Challenges Are Gen Z Facing?

According to Evil HR Lady: A Deloitte survey reveals that an overwhelming majority-96% of Generation Z and 97% of Millennials-believe that finding purpose in their work is essential for job satisfaction and overall well-being. Despite this shared value, nearly 40% of respondents have rejected job offers due to conflicts with their personal ethical beliefs. This highlights how deeply young professionals prioritize company values and ethics when choosing an employer.

The research also found that 68% of Gen Z feel their current roles allow them to make meaningful contributions to society, compared to 72% of Millennials who agree. However, even with these positive perceptions, mental health concerns remain widespread among Gen Z workers, raising alarms about their overall wellness in today’s workplace.

Improving Work Conditions for Younger Generations

To address these challenges, a free seminar titled "When Hiring Becomes a Cybersecurity Risk" is being offered. Attendees will receive a copy of a book by author Raj, providing valuable insights. This event aims to support young professionals striving to balance their careers with personal values while also educating them on the critical role cybersecurity plays during recruitment.

The mental health struggles faced by Gen Z underscore the urgent need to better understand their unique challenges in the modern job market. Their emphasis on ethical business practices could drive significant changes in corporate culture, ultimately enhancing their well-being. The upcoming seminar promises to be a vital forum for discussing these issues and exploring ways to create healthier, more supportive work environments for the next generation.
