The screen boasts a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness. It supports variable refresh rate (VRR) technology and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a DXC coating for enhanced durability. Under the hood, the device runs on Intel Arc G3 Extreme processors and utilizes Intel Arc B390 graphics, offering ray tracing support and Intel XeSS 3 upscaling technology.

Specifications and Key Features

Equipped with an 80 Wh battery, the Predator Atlas 8 incorporates Intel Endurance Gaming technology to optimize power consumption. Its cooling system features Predator AeroBlade with dual fans-one of which is metal, boasting 89 blades each just 0.1 mm thick, resulting in a 10% improvement in airflow. The audio setup includes two 2-watt speakers with DTS: X Ultra support, while dual microphones with Acer PurifiedVoice technology ensure clear communication.

The handheld console comes with adaptive Hall-effect triggers and the PredatorSense configuration software. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD UHS-II card slot, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless standards. Sales are expected to begin in October 2026, as reported by Acer's press office.

This launch highlights the intensifying competition in the portable gaming market, where manufacturers are striving to deliver increasingly powerful and feature-rich devices. With advanced cooling and energy-efficient technologies, this console could appeal to gamers seeking mobility without sacrificing performance. Acer plans to officially present the device on June 2, 2026, signaling continued growth in the handheld gaming segment in the coming years.
