In Kharkiv, on November 25, trams and trolleybuses are operating with changes due to disruptions in the energy system caused by Russian strikes. Some routes have been stopped, others shortened, and to ensure connectivity, the city is additionally launching temporary buses. This is reported by the Kharkiv City Council.

Changes in tram routes

The city council reported that some routes are temporarily not operating, while others are working with shortened schedules. As of November 25:

  • Tram No. 6: not operating

  • Tram No. 8: operates from the circle of Odesa Street to Dobrovoltsiv Street via Bayron Avenue, Morozov Street, and Hryhoriy Tarasenko Street.

Additionally, starting at 7 PM in the city, a temporary tram will run from the circle of Kharkiv-Passenger Railway Station to the Machinobudivnykiv Park through Poltavsky Shlyakh, Constitutional Square, and Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue.

Changes in trolleybus routes and bus launches

Due to problems with the power grid, several trolleybus routes have been suspended. Other lines have been partially shortened, and temporary buses are operating to replace electric transport. Specifically:

  • Trolleybuses No. 20 and No. 57: not operating

  • Trolleybus No. 13: from the circle of Park Zustrich to Turboatom metro station

  • Trolleybus No. 19: from the circle of Odesa Street to Turboatom metro station

  • Trolleybuses No. 31 and No. 35: from Northern Saltivka to Akademik Barabashov metro station.

Temporary buses are operating in three directions:

  • Microdistrict 602 – Defenders of Ukraine metro station via Saltivske Shosse, Akademik Pavlov Street, and Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue

  • Turboatom metro station – Defenders of Ukraine metro station via Heroes of Kharkiv Avenue and Oleg Hromadsky Street

  • Along the route of trolleybus No. 35 from Northern Saltivka to Odesa Street.

These changes will remain in effect until the stabilization of the energy system.

Earlier, we reported that free transportation in public transport will continue to be in effect in Kharkiv. The city authorities do not plan to cancel the benefit introduced during the war.
