Restoration of defenders with vision loss

According to МВС: Our combat medical training instructor in the National Guard, Oleksandr Prasolov, sustained serious injuries to his eyes, head, and limbs. He now uses a cane for mobility and has actively undergone training in the 'Reboot' program.

Participants in the program, such as Oleg, are rehabilitating and restoring functions with great perseverance. Doctors hope for partial restoration of vision in such cases.

"Thanks to the classes at the center, he was able to use the metro and enjoy simple things like coffee"

During training, veterans learn Braille, undergo art therapy, and receive psychological support. A medical team of various specialists develops individual programs for each participant.

Inna Yashchuk, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emphasized that course participants undergo more than eight classes daily. Although some may opt-out of a certain number of classes, almost all successfully complete the full course of the program.

It is important to remember that the 'Reboot' program provides veterans with the opportunity to receive support and learn new skills after serious injuries in combat.
