Famous accordionist Zavadsky played for paralyzed narrator Safonov: he was brought to tears
Ukrainian accordionist Ihor Zavadsky organized an unusual concert for Oleksandr Safonov, who has been in a paralyzed state for 15 years. The performance filled the sick man with joy and tears of happiness, the musician reported.
Zavadsky, along with journalist Mykola Kanishevskyi and television presenter Tetiana Tsymbal, visited the village of Potash, where Oleksandr Safonov lives. Learning that the narrator is aware of his presence, the musician arranged a small concert for him, performing six musical pieces, among which were well-known theme tunes for television shows.

Oleksandr Safonov is a famous narrator, People's Artist of Ukraine, who had been the face of Ukrainian television for many years. After surgery in 2009, his condition became severe, and he found himself confined to a wheelchair. During a visit to him in Cherkasy region, Ihor Zavadsky promised to return for the narrator's 82nd birthday to give another concert.
This moving and incredibly soulful performance showed how music can touch the human soul even in such difficult circumstances as those faced by Oleksandr Safonov. Ihor Zavadsky and his colleagues gave the man the opportunity to feel joy and musical beauty, despite the limitations he has to deal with.
