Which country should Ukrainians choose for living: opinion of expert Voskoboynyk

Ukraine remains the best place for Ukrainians to live, believes the head of the Migration Policy Office Vasyl Voskoboynyk. At the same time, each family makes the decision about moving to Europe based on safety, work, housing, and circumstances, including the presence of children.

Voskoboynyk noted that Ukrainians abroad may face xenophobia, difficulties in finding housing and jobs, as well as problems during document processing. He also drew attention to the rise of anti-immigrant rhetoric from right-wing political forces in European countries.

«The best option for a Ukrainian is only Ukraine. In their homeland, they will be able to establish a normal life,» said Voskoboynyk.

Ukrainians in Poland are not yet in a hurry to decide on citizenship

The participants in the conversation also shared observations about Ukrainians in Poland. One of the speakers mentioned that her family returned to Ukraine but then left again for Poland due to security conditions and two small children. She is not currently considering Polish citizenship.

Another participant noted that Ukrainians often perceive life abroad as temporary and delay making final decisions until the situation in Ukraine becomes clearer. At the same time, prolonged stays abroad and children's needs may influence family plans. Among Ukrainians in Poland, many are still determining their future.
