Buckler Supersonic Interceptor Takes the Stage

The reveal took place at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK, following successful flight tests that validated its propulsion system and overall flight performance. Priced under $100,000, the Buckler offers a more cost-effective alternative to existing interception technologies.

Technical Details and Company Roadmap

Group 3 drones, which the Buckler is designed to neutralize, weigh between 22 and 620 kilograms and operate at altitudes below two kilometers. X-Bow Systems, known for producing solid rocket motors, suborbital launch solutions, and defense technologies, emphasized that the Buckler features a vertically integrated design. The company manufactures both the airframe and the solid rocket motor in-house, ensuring quality control throughout the production process.
