Announcement of new smartphones POCO F9 Ultra and F9 Pro
The company POCO has announced the release of flagship smartphones POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro on the Ukrainian market. Sales of both models will begin on September 1, 2026, on the Allo marketplace. The new smartphones are equipped with AMOLED screens with refresh rates of up to 185 Hz, 200 MP cameras, acoustics tuned in collaboration with Bose, and powerful batteries that support fast charging.
Both models, POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro, feature the VisionBoost D8 graphics chip and the POCO 3D IceLoop cooling system. The refresh rate of up to 185 frames per second is available in over 20 games, and in an additional 5 games through Smart frame rate technology. The display of the POCO F9 Ultra measures 6.9 inches, while the POCO F9 Pro measures 6.59 inches. The peak brightness of the screens reaches 4500 nits, and for HDR it can go up to 10000 nits.
Camera and sound
The main camera of both models provides a resolution of 200 MP with optical stabilization, a first for POCO. The POCO F9 Ultra is equipped with a periscope telephoto camera with:
- 5x optical zoom;
- 10x lossless zoom;
- 20x AI Ultra Zoom.
Meanwhile, the POCO F9 Pro has a 50 MP telephoto camera with a 2.5x zoom and the ability to focus from a distance of 10 cm. Both models are also equipped with a front camera at 32 MP, capable of recording video in 4K Ultra HD format.
The acoustics of the new smartphones are tuned in collaboration with Bose. The POCO F9 Ultra has two stereo speakers and a separate subwoofer, providing a 2.1-channel sound system, while the POCO F9 Pro comes with two stereo speakers. The battery of the POCO F9 Ultra is 8050 mAh, the largest in the history of the POCO F series, while the POCO F9 Pro has a 6330 mAh battery. Both models support 100W HyperCharge for wired charging, 50W for wireless charging, and reverse charging.
Configurations for the POCO F9 Ultra include options of 12 + 256 GB, 16 + 512 GB, and also 16 GB + 1 TB. The model colors are available in Dark Cherry and Black. The POCO F9 Pro is available in configurations of 12 + 256 GB and 12 + 512 GB, with colors including White, Aurora Green, and Black. The Aurora Green version has a luminescent back panel.
Buyers of the new smartphones will receive three months of free access to Google AI Pro, an offer valid until June 12, 2027, as well as three months of free subscription to YouTube Premium, valid until August 31, 2028. The Allo marketplace also offers benefits up to 3500 UAH until September 21. Thus, the POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro promise to be interesting options for Ukrainian consumers looking for powerful and technologically advanced smartphones.
