Commemorating Ukraine’s Defenders Day
Every year on October 1, Ukraine observes Defenders Day, a tribute to those who protect the nation’s sovereignty. This year marks the twelfth consecutive year of standing against Russian aggression, with the last four years involving a full-scale war. The day serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifice made by those who lost their lives defending Ukraine’s independence.
Among the fallen members of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) who served within Ukraine’s security and defense forces, the following colleagues are especially remembered:
- Yulia Shevchenko
- Oleh Finogenov
- Dmytro Khlyshchov
- Oleksandr Boychenko
Currently, 21 NACP employees continue to serve in these critical security roles. Defenders Day highlights the courage and dedication of those fighting to secure peace and freedom for Ukraine.
