On December 10, the draw for the second round of qualifying for Euro-2026 among boys under 17 will take place, in which the Ukrainian national team will participate. Team representatives must not be older than 2009. This information is provided by the publication 'Glavkom' referring to UAF.
The draw ceremony will begin at 13:15 Kyiv time.
The Ukrainian national team, under the leadership of Oleksandr Sytnyk, took third place in their group of League A of the first round of qualifying. Now our team will play in League B. Before the draw for the second round, our footballers got into the first pot.
In the new round, 28 teams will compete in seven groups of League A until March 31. The winners of the quartets will advance to the final stage, which will take place from May 25 to June 7, 2026. The draw for the final stage is scheduled for April 9.
At the same time, 26 national teams will compete in seven groups of League B until June 30. These tournaments are important for shaping Leagues A and B in the Euro-2028 qualifiers (U-19).

Teams are distributed into pots according to the results of the first round and their positions. Hosts of the mini-tournaments, which will take place in spring, will be determined separately.

- Pot 2: Turkey, France, Portugal, Montenegro, Slovakia, Cyprus, Kazakhstan.

- Pot 4: Norway, Poland, Denmark, Romania, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, North Macedonia.
League B:
- Pot 1: Netherlands, Ukraine, Wales, Finland, Bulgaria, Israel, Hungary.
- Pot 2: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Belarus, Faroe Islands.
- Pot 3: Albania, Moldova, Malta, Kosovo, England, Armenia, San Marino.
- Pot 4: Andorra, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar.
To qualify for the World Cup, Ukraine needs to defeat two more opponents.
In the semi-final playoff on March 26, 2026, our team will play against Sweden. If Ukraine wins, they will meet the winner of the match between Poland and Albania in the final.
The Ukrainian football team successfully completed the first stage of the European qualifiers for the World Cup, which will take place next year in three countries in North America.
The last decisive match for the team was the game against Iceland. In the first match, the Ukrainians won with a score of 3:5, but after several setbacks, a win in the match in Warsaw was necessary.
