Max Born: how a Ukrainian helped the Nobel laureate make a key discovery

On December 11, it marks 143 years since the birth of Max Born - a prominent theoretical physicist and Nobel Prize winner in Physics in 1954. He was born on December 11, 1882, in the city of Breslau, which now belongs to the city of Wroclaw in Poland, and passed away on January 5, 1970, in the city of Göttingen, located in the Lower Saxony region of Germany.



Max Born's scientific activity was dedicated to areas such as the dynamics of crystal lattices, the thermodynamics of crystals, quantum theory, the kinetic theory of condensed gases and liquids, the theory of relativity, atomic physics, as well as the philosophy and history of physics.
