Ukraine's Defense Ministry Launches Integrity Initiative

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has set out to build a framework encompassing rules, oversight, and accountability in the fight against corruption. As part of this effort, a training module titled 'Stop Corruption' was introduced within the Army+ application.

Structure of the 'Stop Corruption' Course

Designed for anti-corruption officers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the program includes eight lessons. Key topics covered are:

  • identifying corruption risks;
  • implementing anti-corruption initiatives;
  • electronic asset declarations;
  • appropriate responses to corrupt activities.

Since the course's launch, 11,000 military personnel have completed it through Army+, highlighting strong engagement and active participation among service members in curbing corruption.

This effort by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense marks a significant step toward greater transparency and more efficient military management. Training troops in anti-corruption practices is expected to reduce risks and boost trust in defense institutions. The high level of participation underscores the importance of these measures in upholding rigorous standards within the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In addition to the anti-corruption efforts, the Army+ app has also introduced a new course focusing on recruits' rights and compensation. This initiative aims to enhance the understanding of legal entitlements among new service members, further contributing to the overall development and professionalism within the Armed Forces.
