Kyiv Under Fire: Destruction and Emergency Response
A devastating Russian strike on the Ukrainian capital in the early hours of July 2 caused widespread damage in the Pechersk district. The attack left 11 people dead and more than 30 wounded. Among the sites hit was a civilian medical facility—specifically an emergency medical substation—where six staff members were injured.
The assault involved a combination of drones, ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as hypersonic 'Zircon' missiles launched by Russian forces. “We were so scared we couldn’t speak. I’m still shaking. That’s how I lived through it. Like the other times—it’s not the first. Well, what can I say... At my age, it’s just...”
