On July 12, 2025, Russian troops carried out one of the largest attacks in recent times, targeting the western regions of Ukraine. Lviv, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, and several other areas came under fire.
According to updated data from the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, two people died in Chernivtsi. Another four were severely injured, including a woman in critical condition. Doctors are continuing to fight for the lives of the victims. Ten people sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance on the spot. Several residential buildings, shops, administrative buildings, and vehicles were damaged.
In Lviv, a hit was recorded on a two-story residential building, partially destroying the entrance. An apartment building and two industrial sites were also damaged. Four people sought help in medical facilities. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that this was the most massive drone attack on the city since the war began.
In Lutsk, as a result of a combined attack by strike drones and rockets, one private residential house was completely destroyed. In other homes, windows shattered due to the shockwave and shell fragments, and a private car caught fire. There were no casualties among the population.
In the past 24 hours, Russian strikes also targeted Kharkiv and seven settlements in the Kharkiv region. In the morning, the Russians struck the Kyiv district of Kharkiv with guided aviation bombs and UAVs. Hits were recorded on storage facilities, a garage, and other buildings, leading to large-scale fires. Preliminary reports indicate that one person was injured.
News of the Russian troops' attack on the western regions of Ukraine shocked the public and intensified the population's outrage. Reports of casualties and destruction prompt the urgent need for an international response to Russia's aggressive actions in the region.
