On November 12, a meeting was held at the Olympic House to prepare the national team of Ukraine for the XXV Winter Olympic Games 2026, which will take place from February 6 to 22 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The event was attended by representatives of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, state coaches in the sports in which Ukrainian athletes will be represented at the Games, as well as those responsible for preparing the national team.
Opening remarks were made to the attendees by the president of the NOC of Ukraine, Olympic champion Vadym Hutstait, and the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksiy Nikitenko. They emphasized the importance of clear coordination of actions among all the structures responsible for preparing the team, the effective use of resources, and creating proper conditions for athletes to ensure the successful performance of the Ukrainian team at the XXV Winter Olympic Games 2026.
Executive Director of NOC of Ukraine Lyudmila Panchenko, Director of the Department of Olympic Movement and Sports Ivan Bondarchuk, and doctors of the national team of Ukraine, who will provide medical support for Ukrainian athletes, also delivered reports.
ℹDuring the meeting, participants discussed key issues of preparation:
the number of obtained and projected Olympic licenses; the conduct of final training camps and stages of preparation; logistics and ensuring the transportation and accommodation of athletes, obtaining equipment, and issues of medical support.
Preparation for the Winter Olympic Games is ongoing in a planned and coordinated manner. All responsible structures — NOC of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and federations — coordinate their actions to ensure the best conditions for athletes and facilitate the successful performance of the national team of Ukraine in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to start intensive preparation of the national team of Ukraine for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in 2026. All coordination and support measures for the team will be taken by the responsible structures and individuals, ensuring a successful performance by Ukrainian athletes at these prestigious competitions.
