Massive Russian Attack on Zaporizhzhia Leaves 12 Injured

Current Situation in Zaporizhzhia

A large-scale assault by Russian forces on Zaporizhzhia city and the surrounding Zaporizhzhia district has resulted in 12 casualties. Over the past 24 hours, occupiers launched 1,053 strikes across 45 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, causing widespread destruction and worsening humanitarian conditions. This region, a key strategic area in southeastern Ukraine, has faced relentless attacks throughout the war.

The offensive included 16 aerial strikes using guided bombs, targeting the following locations:

  • Komyshuvakha
  • Veselyanka
  • Zorivka
  • Barvinivka
  • Novosoloshine
  • Zarichne
  • Lyubytske
  • Zirnytsya
  • Novorozivka
  • Orikhiv
  • Chervonyi Yar
  • Danylivka
  • Omelnyk
  • Vilnyansk

Additionally, 836 drone strikes were recorded, primarily using FPV drones, concentrated on:

  • Zaporizhzhia
  • Malokaterynivka
  • Balabyne
  • Richne
  • Novoyakovlivka
  • Bilenke
  • Stepnohirsk
  • Prymorske
  • Stepove
  • Orikhiv
  • Huliaipilske

There were also 201 artillery strikes hitting areas including:

  • Malokaterynivka
  • Richne
  • Bilenke
  • Magdalynivka
  • Stepnohirsk
  • Orikhiv
  • Huliaipilske
  • and other communities.

Authorities received 165 reports of damage to residential buildings, infrastructure, and vehicles. In prior attacks, over 900 strikes were recorded across the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in one fatality and 16 wounded. A previous assault also left more than 15,000 residents in Zaporizhzhia without electricity. The situation remains dire as the enemy continues targeting civilians and critical infrastructure.

The consequences of these attacks go beyond physical destruction, severely aggravating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The rising number of casualties and injuries, along with damage to homes and infrastructure, underscores the urgent need for security measures and reconstruction efforts. Zaporizhzhia remains a strategically vital area, requiring international support to counter aggression and restore stability.

The ongoing violence in Zaporizhzhia has escalated recently, with tragic incidents such as a drone strike on a minibus claiming civilian lives. This highlights the dire situation faced by residents, as the frequency and intensity of attacks continue to rise, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
