Financial Assistance Scheduled for April
A one-time payment of 1,500 hryvnias will be automatically distributed to 13 million Ukrainians in April. This financial support is targeted at vulnerable groups already receiving state social assistance and will be funded from the existing budget of the Ministry of Social Policy. No applications or additional documentation are required to receive these funds.
The payment will be processed automatically within the month. Social Policy Minister Denys Ulutin specified the eligible recipients, stating:
"The payment will be made to pensioners receiving old-age pensions, recipients of social assistance—specifically families with children, persons with disabilities, those receiving basic social assistance, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) among those who receive IDP payments."Consequently, the following groups will receive the aid:
- Pensioners under the mandatory pension insurance system,
- Persons with disabilities,
- Internally displaced persons,
- Low-income families,
- Families with children.
The funds will be delivered through the same channels used for the recipients' regular social payments. This initiative is part of the government's broader policy to support populations affected by the economic hardships of the ongoing war.
"The payment will arrive via the same channels through which they normally receive all their payments. If via Ukrposhta, then through Ukrposhta; if through the banking system, then through the banking system, and the payment will be a one-time provision,"emphasized Minister Ulutin. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has also confirmed the preparations for these disbursements.
The automatic allocation is designed to simplify access to aid and help beneficiaries address financial difficulties more swiftly. This measure underscores the government's commitment to maintaining social stability and supporting the welfare of its most vulnerable citizens during a period of sustained national crisis.
