Frontline Report: Ukraine Endures 130 Clashes and Massed Russian Strikes in a Single Day

Operational Update on Combat in Ukraine

Ukrainian forces engaged in 130 separate combat clashes over the past day, repelling a series of massed Russian strikes involving missiles and aircraft. The Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses on the enemy across multiple sectors of the front. This intense level of activity underscores the ongoing pressure along the entire contact line.

Russian forces launched 2 missile strikes using 3 missiles and carried out 90 airstrikes, dropping 251 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 9,812 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,887 artillery bombardments of Ukrainian towns and military positions, 84 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

In response, Ukraine's defense forces targeted the attackers. Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck 3 areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated. They also hit 4 command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles, 4 artillery systems, 1 ammunition depot, and 2 other critical targets.

Areas of Engagement

On the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy conducted 115 bombardments, including 4 with MLRS, and launched 4 airstrikes using 8 guided bombs. On the South-Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops made three unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Popivka and Lyman.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked twice toward Novoplatonivka. The Lyman direction saw five enemy assaults aimed at penetrating defenses near Stavky, Lyman, Drobycheve, and in the Zarychne area. On the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces halted 11 enemy attempts to advance toward Riznykivka and in the areas of Zakitne, Platonivka, and Fedorivka.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked once in the Nykyforivka area. The Kostiantynivka direction recorded 13 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiyivka. On the Pokrovsk direction, 29 Russian assaults were stopped near Chervonyi Lyman, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Molodetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and in the direction of Vilne and Novooleksandrivka.

Furthermore, on the Oleksandrivsk direction, the enemy attacked five times near Ivanivka, Dobropillia, Terrove, Berezove, and Novyi Zaporizhzhia. The Huliaipole direction witnessed 28 attacks in the areas of Myrne, Luhivske, Huliaipole, and toward Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Zelene, and Olenokostiantynivka. The Orikhiv direction saw one combat clash in the direction of Prymorske.

Airstrikes also targeted settlements in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, including Pokrovske, Kolomiytsi, Chornenkovo, Pysantsi, Havrylivka, and Orly, as well as in Zaporizhzhia Oblast: Vozdvyzhivka, Svitla Dolyna, Novosoloshyne, Barvinivka, Novoselivka, Pryluky, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Lisne, Kopani, Dolynka, Hirke, Charivne, Veselianka, and Prymorske. This marks the 1,476th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.

The frontline situation remains highly tense, characterized by relentless Russian bombardments and assaults. Ukrainian troops continue to mount an active defense, inflicting losses on the enemy and holding their positions. These events indicate a significant escalation in combat intensity, which is likely to influence the strategic calculations of both sides in the conflict.
