Operational Update as of March 2
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported intense combat activity across the front. As of 10:00 PM, 136 armed engagements were recorded over the past day. Invading forces conducted 56 airstrikes and dropped 163 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they deployed 5,605 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,691 artillery and mortar attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and settlements.
Situation Across Key Fronts
On the Pokrovsk front, preliminary reports indicate 27 occupiers were killed and 18 wounded. In this sector, Ukrainian forces destroyed:
- One artillery system
- Two motor vehicles
- Two pieces of special equipment
- A fuel and lubricants storage depot
Four artillery systems, seven motor vehicles, three pieces of special equipment, and 62 enemy shelters were damaged. Furthermore, 156 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
On the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk fronts, the enemy launched two airstrikes, dropped three aerial bombs, and conducted 105 attacks on troop positions and settlements, including five using multiple launch rocket systems. On the South-Slobozhanske front, enemy forces attempted one assault on Ukrainian positions near Vovchanski Khutory.
On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks in the directions of Stavky, Drobycheve, and Lyman, as well as near Serednie. On the Sloviansk front, the enemy made 11 attempts to advance near the settlements of Platonivka, Zakytne, and Riznykivka, and towards Ozernyi. On the Kostiantynivka front, occupiers launched ten assaults today on defender positions near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiiivka, and towards Illinivka.
On the Oleksandrivka front, the enemy attacked five times near Ternove and Zlahoda, and carried out airstrikes on Ivanivka and Havrylivka. On the Huliaipole front, 37 attacks occurred near Huliaipole, Zelene, and towards Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske, and Staroukrainka. Four engagements are ongoing in this sector, and one clash was recorded on the Orikhiv front near Plavni.
As of this report, it is the 1,468th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The sustained high intensity of Russian strikes and assaults underscores the immense pressure on Ukrainian defensive lines. This relentless activity highlights the ongoing need for international military support to help Ukraine withstand the offensive.
