War in Ukraine: Overview of Combat Actions on December 28
The 1404th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine was marked by numerous combat clashes and attacks by Russian invaders. As of December 28, 186 combat clashes and thousands of shellings were recorded. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out 38 airstrikes, dropping 102 guided bombs. Additionally, the Russians used 2780 kamikaze drones and conducted 2539 shellings.
Combat Actions in Various Directions
The military actions took place in several directions:
- In the Pokrovsk direction, 146 occupiers were neutralized, of which 100 were irretrievable. The Russian troops attacked the positions of the Ukrainian forces near the settlements of Novoselivka, Zarichne, Myrne, and others 14 times.
- In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy made 25 attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces.
- In the Northern Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian warriors repelled two assault attempts, during which the enemy conducted 97 shellings.
- In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders seven times.
- In the Kupiansk direction, three assault actions occurred, with one combat clash currently ongoing.
- In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy attempted to break through four times, while in the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian warriors repelled one attack.
- The Oleksandrivka direction also became a battleground, where 19 enemy attacks were stopped.
- In the Huliaipole direction, 17 enemy attempts to advance were halted, and in the Orihiv direction – nine attacks by the invaders.
All these events indicate the continuation of active hostilities on the territory of Ukraine and the resilience of Ukrainian forces in countering aggression.
The situation on the front remains tense, with ongoing active hostilities in multiple directions. The increasing number of attacks and shellings indicates the enemy's intentions to intensify their actions, which may lead to further escalation of the conflict. Support for the Ukrainian military, particularly through international assistance, will remain a key factor in countering aggression and protecting Ukraine's territorial integrity.
