'Energy Support for Entrepreneurs' Program Launched

The Ukrainian government has launched the 'Energy Support for Entrepreneurs' program, allocating 144 million hryvnias in aid. More than 14,000 individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) will receive these funds, which will be credited directly to their Diia.Card accounts through the State Employment Service. Applications for this financial assistance can be submitted via the Diia portal. This initiative is part of a broader effort to bolster the resilience of Ukraine's private sector during the ongoing war.

Permitted Uses for the Funds

The allocated funds are designated for specific energy-related expenses, including:

  • Purchasing generators, batteries, inverters, and energy storage systems;
  • Acquiring solar panels and related components;
  • Buying voltage stabilizers and protective devices;
  • Procuring fuel for generators;
  • Paying for electricity supply services;
  • Covering the costs of equipment installation and commissioning.

This program represents a critical measure to support small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, particularly amid the severe energy crisis. The funding is designed to help entrepreneurs adapt to challenging operational conditions and ensure the continuity of their business processes. By promoting energy independence, this support is also expected to have a positive impact on the country's overall economic stability, as reliable power is fundamental for business operations.
