Pokrovsk Sector Sees 42 Airstrikes and 148 Combat Clashes in a Single Day: The Hottest Frontline Point

Ukraine War Update

On June 24, the Ukrainian military reported 148 combat engagements across the front line, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian forces launched 42 airstrikes, dropping 153 guided bombs. They also deployed 5,778 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,185 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. This marks the 1,582nd day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Frontline Situation

The Pokrovsk sector remained the most intense area of fighting. There, Ukrainian forces eliminated 40 Russian soldiers and wounded 11 others. They also destroyed:

  • two personnel shelters,
  • three vehicles,
  • four pieces of specialized enemy equipment.

Additionally, in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian troops damaged two vehicles and 39 enemy shelters. Over the course of the day, they destroyed or suppressed 220 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types in this sector.

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, four combat clashes were recorded, with the enemy conducting 48 shelling attacks. On the South-Slobozhanskyi front, Russian forces launched 11 assaults on Ukrainian positions. In the Kupiansk sector, one attack occurred near Novoosynove. The Lyman direction also saw significant enemy activity, with 13 assaults reported.

Ukrainian defense forces repelled 14 enemy attacks in the Sloviansk sector. In the Kramatorsk direction, one Russian assault took place near Tykhonivka, while in the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian troops successfully fended off 14 attacks. On the Pokrovsk front, the enemy carried out 22 assaults, whereas no offensive actions were recorded in the Oleksandrivsk sector.

In the Huliaipole direction, there were 10 enemy attacks, and in the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces launched one assault near Shcherbaky. No assault actions were reported in the Dnipro River sector.

The frontline situation remains tense, with active combat continuing across multiple directions, underscoring the war's duration and the resilience of Ukrainian forces.

Given the intensity of hostilities and the large number of enemy attacks, the war in Ukraine continues to draw international attention. Support from global partners remains crucial for shaping the conflict's trajectory. Ukraine's defense forces are showing steadfastness in the face of numerous threats, reflecting their readiness for a prolonged struggle.
