This year the Crimea Global Conference in Kyiv brought together experts from around the world to discuss the situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The two-day event began with speeches from Olga Kurishko, Iryna Mudra, Serhiy Kyslytsia, and Refat Chubarov.
Conference participants discussed Russian aggression against Ukraine as a neocolonial war and called for the international community to respond to Russia's violations of international humanitarian law. Highlighting Russia's dispute with the foundations of the Helsinki Final Act became an important aspect of the discussion.
Participants' statements emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity and condemned the involvement of foreign nationals in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
