Combat clashes in Ukraine
Since the beginning of the day on January 5, there have been 172 combat clashes recorded in Ukraine, during which Ukrainian forces continue to repel attacks from Russian invaders. The hottest situation is observed in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 142 occupiers, of which 98 were permanently eliminated.
Operations of Ukrainian defense forces
Throughout the day, Ukrainian defense forces carried out three missile strikes and 24 airstrikes. During these actions, 10 missiles were used, and 79 guided aerial bombs were dropped. At the same time, Russian troops carried out 3038 shellings of Ukrainian positions, trying to break through the defense.
In the Pokrovsk direction, in addition to destroying occupiers, Ukrainian forces eliminated:
- 31 unmanned aerial vehicles
- three motorcycles
- two satellite communication terminals
Throughout the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions nine times near the settlements of Nadiya and Zarichne.
In the Northern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping seven aerial bombs. In turn, in the Huliaipole direction, the Ukrainian defense forces repelled 34 attacks from the Russians, which indicates the resilience of Ukrainian troops in the fight against the aggressor.
These events underscore the tense situation at the front, where Ukrainian forces continue to defend their land despite numerous enemy attacks. The situation indicates that both sides continue to actively engage in combat, with Ukrainian forces demonstrating resilience and readiness for defense. The importance of such reports lies in highlighting not only the losses but also the successes of the Ukrainian military in the context of the ongoing war for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine.
