Weather Forecast for Ukraine on February 18th

A major winter storm is set to bring hazardous conditions across Ukraine on Sunday, February 18th. The system will produce heavy snow and rain, with significant accumulations expected in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions. Snowfall will also extend into the Cherkasy and Sumy areas during the day.

Freezing rain and icy roads are forecast for a wide swath of the country, including the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Luhansk regions. Furthermore, powerful wind gusts reaching 15–20 m/s (34–45 mph) are anticipated in the eastern, most southern, and central oblasts. The State Emergency Service has issued a Level I (yellow) weather hazard warning for these conditions.
