Ukraine War Update
On May 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released its daily report, detailing the following combat activity over the past 24 hours:
- 189 combat engagements;
- 54 airstrikes;
- 162 guided aerial bombs dropped;
- 3,970 kamikaze drones deployed;
- 1,931 artillery and other attacks on settlements and military positions.
The most intense fighting is taking place on the Pokrovsk front. As of 10:00 PM local time, the full-scale war in Ukraine has entered its 1,555th day.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian forces eliminated 43 Russian occupiers, with 17 others wounded. The following enemy equipment was destroyed in combat:
- one tank;
- two artillery pieces;
- five vehicles;
- three units of specialized equipment.
Additionally, ten vehicles and one enemy artillery piece were damaged. The adversary also suffered losses in drones—182 unmanned systems of various types were either destroyed or neutralized.
On the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk fronts, five combat clashes occurred. The enemy launched seven airstrikes, dropped 15 guided bombs, and carried out 69 shelling attacks, three of which involved multiple rocket launchers. On the South-Slobozhansk front, occupiers stormed Ukrainian positions six times.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy attacked twice, while on the Lyman front, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attempts by invaders to advance. In the Sloviansk sector, defense forces halted one enemy push, and on the Kramatorsk front, two hostile attacks were stopped. On the Kostiantynivka front, 12 enemy assaults were repelled, with one engagement still ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk front, the enemy launched 25 attacks, with two clashes still in progress. On the Oleksandrivsk front, the adversary mounted one offensive, while on the Huliaipole front, there were 22 attacks, with three engagements continuing. On the Orikhiv front, the enemy attempted to advance.
The situation on the front lines remains tense, and Ukrainian forces continue to resist aggression.
