As of May 21, 2025, the full-scale war in Ukraine has reached its 1,548th day. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 197 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours. The enemy launched one missile strike using a single missile, along with 64 airstrikes that dropped 184 guided aerial bombs. During the same period, 6,063 kamikaze drones were deployed, and 2,279 shelling attacks targeted populated areas and Ukrainian positions.

Latest Frontline Developments

The most intense fighting occurred on the Pokrovsk front, where 50 Russian occupiers were eliminated and 13 others wounded. In that same area, one vehicle was destroyed, two were damaged, and 12 enemy shelters along with a drone control post were hit. Additionally, 278 drones of various types were either destroyed or neutralized on the Pokrovsk axis.

  • On the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, the enemy carried out two airstrikes using five guided bombs and conducted 63 shelling attacks, including one assault action.
  • On the South-Slobozhansk axis, enemy forces attacked Ukrainian positions seven times, while on the Kupiansk axis they launched five assaults.
  • On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks, and on the Sloviansk axis, the enemy attempted two assaults.
  • On the Kramatorsk axis, occupiers attacked near Minkivka, while on the Kostiantynivka axis, 19 assaults were recorded.
  • On the Pokrovsk axis, updated reports indicate 43 enemy attacks, and on the Oleksandrivsk axis, five assault actions were noted.
  • On the Huliaipole axis, 23 attacks were registered, while on the Orikhiv axis, the enemy launched assaults near Shcherbaky.

These figures highlight the challenging situation on the front lines and the continued intensity of combat operations from both sides in Ukraine's ongoing war. The military activity, marked by fierce attacks and counterattacks, shows that the conflict remains in a phase of active escalation.
