July 5 Frontline Report: 201 Clashes and 65 Airstrikes Recorded by Ukraine’s General Staff

On July 5, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported intense military activity across the frontline. A total of 201 combat engagements occurred over the past day, during which the enemy carried out 65 airstrikes and dropped 182 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, 5,461 kamikaze drones were deployed, and 1,907 artillery strikes targeted populated areas and military positions. The most critical situation unfolded on the Pokrovsk front, where 33 enemy troops were eliminated.

On the Pokrovsk axis, beyond the 33 fatalities, 19 occupiers were wounded. The enemy also suffered substantial equipment losses:

  • Four units of automotive equipment destroyed;
  • Three units of specialized equipment destroyed;
  • One electronic warfare station destroyed;
  • Four artillery systems damaged;
  • Two units of automotive equipment damaged;
  • One unit of specialized equipment damaged;
  • Two unmanned aerial vehicle control points damaged.

In total, 234 drones of various types were either destroyed or neutralized in this sector.

On the North Slobozhansky and Kursk axes, the enemy launched no assault operations. However, one airstrike using a single guided bomb and 30 artillery attacks were recorded there. On the South Slobozhansky front, the adversary attempted nine assaults on Ukrainian positions, while on the Kupiansk axis, one assault was directed toward Novoplatonivka.

On the Lyman front, six enemy attempts to advance were observed, three of which escalated into combat engagements. On the Sloviansk axis, 22 enemy advances were halted, with two clashes still ongoing. The Kramatorsk front saw no assault actions, whereas on the Kostiantynivka axis, 12 enemy attacks were repelled.

On the Pokrovsk front, the enemy launched 22 offensives, two of which led to direct skirmishes. On the Oleksandrivka axis, two attacks were beaten back, and the Huliaipole front experienced 13 assaults. On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy mounted a single attack on positions, while no assault activity was recorded on the Prydniprovsk front.

For context, the previous day—July 4—saw 236 combat engagements across the frontline, with 23 attacks specifically on the Pokrovsk axis. The situation remains volatile, and the General Staff continues to monitor developments across all sectors.

The rising number of combat engagements and active assaults indicates an escalation in conflict intensity. Mutual losses in equipment and personnel underscore the growing severity of hostilities and the urgent need for continued military responses. Ukraine’s General Staff remains vigilant, suggesting preparations for potential new phases of confrontation.
