Ukraine War Update
On June 18, the front line witnessed 204 combat engagements. The aggressor launched 3 missile strikes using 9 missiles. Additionally, 64 airstrikes were recorded, during which 213 guided aerial bombs were dropped. The enemy also deployed 5,797 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,183 shelling attacks on populated areas and military positions.
Frontline Situation
The Pokrovsk sector turned out to be the hottest spot: the enemy conducted 27 attacks, resulting in 41 occupiers killed and 23 wounded. In this region:
- one artillery system was destroyed;
- two multiple rocket launchers (MLRS);
- three units of automotive and one unit of special equipment;
- two artillery systems were damaged;
- two units of automotive equipment;
- two drone control points;
- 16 personnel shelters.
During the fighting in the Pokrovsk sector, 241 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, 5 combat clashes occurred, and the enemy carried out 60 shelling attacks, 6 of which involved MLRS. On the South-Slobozhanskyi axis, the enemy stormed positions near Lyman and Starytsia 6 times, with 2 clashes ongoing. On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy attacked positions toward Radkivka and Kolisnykivka three times.
The Lyman sector also remained tense, as Ukrainian soldiers repelled 13 attempts to advance toward Shyikivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, as well as near Novoselivka, Derylove, Zarichne, and Yampil, where 3 clashes are still ongoing. On the Sloviansk axis, defense forces repelled 11 attempts to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka, and areas around Zakitne and Kalenyky.
On the Kramatorsk axis, 1 combat clash occurred toward Malynivka, while on the Kostiantynivka axis, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 enemy assaults near Pleshchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Toretske. Meanwhile, on the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy attacked twice toward Oleksandrohrad and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
On the Huliaipole axis, defense forces managed to repel 20 enemy attacks toward Dobropillia, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Tsvitkove, and Charivne, with 3 clashes ongoing. On the Orikhiv axis, defenders halted 3 attempts to advance near Stepnohirsk. At the same time, on the Dnipro axis, the enemy conducted no offensive actions.
Thus, June 18 was marked by large-scale combat operations, marking the 1,575th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
The escalation of hostilities in Ukraine at this point indicates the continuation of active attacks by Russian forces, particularly on key axes such as Pokrovsk and Lyman. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue to actively defend their positions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. These events underscore the gravity and seriousness of the conflict, which has been ongoing for over four years, and highlight the need for continued international support for Ukraine amid the persistent threat.
