21-year-old Muay Thai master Vladislav Vakulenko was killed on December 30, 2022, while performing a combat mission near Bakhmut. He defended Ukraine from the Russian invasion, showing courage and heroism during a difficult time for the country. Vladislav, who was born in Kyiv, became a symbol of the young generation ready to fight for their homeland.

Vladislav Vakulenko received a diploma from the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine only six months before his death. His sporting achievements and mastery in Muay Thai were well known in sports circles, and he was considered a promising athlete. At the time of his death, Vladislav was only 21 years old, highlighting the tragedy of losing a young life that was just beginning to blossom.
