Today marks the 136th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian actor, educator, and People's Artist of the USSR - Danylo Sydorovych Antonovych. He was born on December 22, 1889, in the city of Bilopillia (Sumy Oblast, Ukraine) and died on November 8, 1975, in Kharkiv.
Danylo Antonovych graduated from the Kyiv State Music and Drama Institute named after M. V. Lysenko in 1919. In his career, he worked as an actor in the theaters of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic, taught in theatrical schools, and actively contributed to the development of the arts.
“Art is my true love and calling. I have always tried to convey my feelings through every performance on stage or screen,” said Danylo Antonovych.
The entire world honors the memory of this talented actor, who dedicated his life to art and the upbringing of new talents.
