The Brave1 Market Platform

Launched in August 2023, the Brave1 Market platform has become a vital procurement tool for the Ukrainian military. This innovative system allows troops to order equipment using combat-earned credits, known as eBaly. In just six months, over 240,000 drones, along with other hardware like unmanned ground vehicles and components, were ordered through the marketplace. More than half of these orders, specifically 160,000 drones and other weapons, have already been delivered to the front lines.

The average delivery time is a remarkably swift 10 days, highlighting the system's operational efficiency. Currently, service members can purchase more than 400 different Ukrainian-made products with their eBaly credits. The product catalog extends beyond drones to include electronic warfare systems, ground robotic complexes, and various spare parts.

Manufacturer Dashboard and Operational Model

The platform recently introduced a Manufacturer Dashboard, enabling developers to monitor the real-time battlefield performance of their technologies. The marketplace operates on a straightforward, incentive-driven model:

  • Military personnel earn credits by engaging enemy forces,
  • The state provides payment for the earned credits,
  • Technology rapidly reaches the front lines.

Brave1 Market represents a novel approach to equipping Ukrainian forces with modern technology, significantly enhancing their combat capabilities. This system is a key part of Ukraine's strategy to leverage domestic innovation for defense. The speed of supply and the ability to track a product's effectiveness are critically important in modern warfare, as they allow for rapid adaptation to frontline changes and ensure troops receive necessary equipment in the shortest possible time.
