Schedules of hourly power outages in Ukraine
On December 26, hourly power outage schedules will be introduced in Ukraine. This decision was made due to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on the country's energy facilities. The energy system of Ukraine is currently in critical condition, which has led to the implementation of such restrictions. There is practically no reserve capacity in the energy system, complicating the situation.
In this regard, the government is working to reduce the duration of outages for household consumers. The issue of reducing the list of critical infrastructure facilities is also being considered, which may contribute to stabilizing the energy system.
Energy-intensive appliances and their consumption
Among the most energy-intensive appliances that consume a significant amount of electricity, the following can be highlighted:
- electric stove (consumes from 3.5 to 5 kW)
- air conditioner (consumes from 2.5 to 3.2 kW)
- electric kettle (consumes from 2 to 2.5 kW)
- iron (consumes from 2 to 2.5 kW)
This underscores the importance of rational use of electricity under restriction conditions.
Thus, the situation with electricity supply in Ukraine remains complicated, and the presence of hourly outages is a necessary measure to support stability in the country's energy system.
