Today, November 26, marks 115 years since the birth of the great master of Ukrainian folk art - Ivan Arkhipovych Bilyk. He was born in 1910 in Opishnya, Poltava region, and gained popularity not only within Ukraine but also far beyond its borders.
Ivan Bilyk was known not only as a potter but also as a sculptor; he was even awarded the title of Honored Master of Folk Art in 1971. He created figurative vessels, decorative sculptures, jugs, pumpkins, vases, and other products, each of which was a work of art, crafted with great skill, adorned with various patterns, and covered with special glazes.
On this day, we honor the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian artist who glorified Ukrainian folk art around the world through his works.
