Frontline Update: Ukrainian Military Details a Day of Intense Fighting
The Ukrainian military continues to face a high tempo of combat, with 279 separate engagements recorded over the past day. Russian forces launched 41 airstrikes, deploying 123 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the enemy utilized 5,583 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,802 artillery and mortar attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, 144 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. This relentless pressure underscores the ongoing scale of the conflict, now in its 1,437th day since Russia's full-scale invasion began.
In response, Ukraine's missile and artillery units successfully struck:
- 1 area of enemy personnel concentration,
- 8 ground control stations for unmanned aerial vehicles,
- 7 enemy command posts.
Attacks and Shelling Across Multiple Fronts
On the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 assaults while enduring 75 enemy bombardments, including 5 with rocket artillery. In the Southern-Slobozhansky sector, Russian troops attempted 17 assaults near Vovchansk, Starytsia, and other areas.
Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks on the Kupiansk axis, including near Borivska Andriivka and in the direction of Kupiansk. The Lyman direction saw 13 assaults halted near Drobysheve and Stepy. On the Sloviansk axis, 7 enemy attempts were thwarted near Yampol.
The fighting was particularly intense on the Kurakhove (Pokrovsk) axis, where 87 Russian assaults were stopped across various districts. The enemy also increased activity on the Kramatorsk (Kostiantynivka) axis with 19 attacks, the Toretsk (Aleksandrivsk) axis with 23 attacks, and the Vremivka (Huliaipole) axis with 42 offensive attempts. Ukrainian forces repelled 2 attacks on the Orikhiv axis and 1 failed assault on the Dnipro River (Prydniprovsky) axis.
