Ukraine's 287 'Love'-Themed Businesses: A Valentine's Day Market Analysis

Аналіз ринку: 287 українських підприємств, що присвячені темі кохання до Дня святого Валентина.

Ukrainian Businesses with a Romantic Theme

A YouControl analysis conducted ahead of Valentine's Day reveals that as of mid-February 2026, 287 companies registered in Ukraine have names containing the words 'love', 'romance', or 'cupid'. This unique market segment offers a snapshot of branding trends in the country. The vast majority of these entities operate in social assistance, the public sector, or belong to religious communities.

Out of the 287 companies, an overwhelming 263 prefer the word 'love' in their name. By sector, organizations focused on social aid lead with 107 enterprises, followed by public sector companies (64) and religious communities (49). However, only 19 businesses from this group publicly disclosed revenue for 2024, with their combined income totaling 45.6 million Ukrainian hryvnias. More than half of that sum, specifically 25 million hryvnias, was earned by the 'Radio Kokhannya' (Radio Love) broadcasting company.

Notable Details and Geographic Spread

Interestingly, the registry includes 7 companies using the word 'love' in their names that are based in occupied Crimea. Also notable is the agricultural enterprise 'Cupid-2008' in the Odesa region, which lists a citizen of the Russian Federation among its participants.

The breakdown of companies by the key word in their name is as follows:

  • 'love' - 263 enterprises
  • 'romance' - 13 companies
  • 'cupid' - 11 organizations

The highest concentration of these businesses is found in Kyiv (57 companies), Kyiv region (26), Lviv region (22), Odesa region (18), and Zakarpattia (15).

The restaurant sector features names like 'S*chka Lyubov', 'Lyubov-Morkov', and 'Velyke Kokhannya'. Individual services are represented by names such as 'Transformation of Love' and 'Everyday Logic of Love'. There are also unexpected combinations, like the Kharkiv marriage agency 'Destination Find Love' and the gambling company 'Cupid-Sport'.

Among the profitable organizations that published revenue, notable examples include the 'Love and Prosperity' Farming Group with 5.5 million hryvnias, the 'GR Faith, Hope, Love' Public Organization with 5.3 million, and the 'Liubov Liubushkina' Charitable Foundation, which earned 2.3 million hryvnias.

The study of love-themed companies highlights a growing focus on social aid and religious initiatives in Ukraine, particularly in the lead-up to Valentine's Day.

Given that most companies are concentrated in the social sector, this trend underscores the importance of community support and social projects within society. The presence of enterprises in occupied Crimea and the involvement of Russian citizens in business in the Odesa region also raises questions about potential political and economic implications for the Ukrainian market.
