30000 subscribers were left without electricity in Chernihiv region on May 14 due to a Russian attack: when will power be restored

After the Russian attack on the night of May 14, an energy facility in the Chernihiv region was damaged. As a result, more than 31 thousand subscribers were left without electricity, and the repair work will depend on the security situation in the region. This was reported by Chernihivoblenergo.

The Russian attack on Chernihiv region left over 31 thousand people without electricity

The company 'Chernihivoblenergo' reported that as a result of the strike, one of the energy facilities in the Chernihiv region was damaged.

Due to destruction and emergency disconnections, over 31 thousand consumers were left without electricity. This concerns residents of several settlements in the region.

Energy workers stated that they are already ready to begin emergency recovery work. However, access to the site still depends on the security situation after the shelling.

The company emphasized that repair crews will go to the site immediately after the relevant services give permission and after the risk to the workers is reduced.

The combined Russian attack on May 14 was aimed at Kyiv

On the night of May 14, Russia launched another massive combined attack on Ukraine. During the strike, offensive drones were used, as well as air-launched and ground-launched missiles.

This time, the main target of the attack was Kyiv. At the same time, the consequences of the strikes and falling debris were recorded in other regions of the country.

In recent months, the energy infrastructure of the Chernihiv region has regularly come under fire from Russia. As a result, emergency outages and network damage periodically occur in the region.

For residents of Chernihiv region, this means not only a temporary lack of electricity but also a risk of disruptions in communication, water supply, and critical infrastructure operations until the repairs are completed.

 

It is worth noting that in the Chernihiv region, due to shelling, a forest fire broke out, covering an area of about 2400 hectares.
