3G in Ukraine will be switched off by 2030: what awaits subscribers and operators

Ukraine has announced the date when the use of 3G mobile communication will cease – December 31, 2030. The transition to more modern technologies, particularly 5G, is expected to improve the quality of communication, utilize resources more efficiently, and reduce service costs.

Mobile operators are already gradually abandoning 3G, shutting down networks in certain regions of the country. The disconnection process will be gradual, and all users will receive appropriate notifications. For those using only the 2G network, nothing will change, while those using 3G will be ensured an instant transition to new standards without the need to change numbers or SIM cards.
