Analysis of the Activity of Verkhovna Rada Deputies
According to the summary analytical review of the 'Chesno' movement, in 2025, 41 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada submitted fewer than five bills. Among those who showed low activity are deputies who submitted only one bill, including from the former pro-Russian party OPZZH. This indicates a lack of initiative among certain people's representatives in legislative activities.
Attendance and Activity Problems
Additionally, it is worth noting that Stepan Ivakhiv, Geo Leros, and Petro Pavlovskyi did not attend the Verkhovna Rada sessions. In total, 13 people's deputies did not appear at their workplace even once during the year. The IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada has been working since August 29, 2019, and will last until 2024. This convocation has a mono-coalition and has not lost its inviolability; however, the situation with the activity of certain deputies raises concerns about their work for the benefit of society.
Low activity of deputies may indicate problems in the system of representation and the fulfillment of duties entrusted to people's representatives. Such a situation raises questions about the effectiveness of the Verkhovna Rada's work and its ability to respond to the challenges facing the country. The public has the right to know how their elected representatives perform their functions, as this affects the future of legislation and the well-being of society.
