On December 5, 2025, the final of the second national essay competition on the topic: “Modern Ukrainian diplomacy: synergy of human and artificial intelligence in defense of national interests” took place at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
252 students from 46 higher education institutions in various cities of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Uzhhorod, and others participated in the competition. After reviewing the works, only 10 participants advanced to the finals, presenting their essays in public debates.
Winners of the competition
As a result of the competition, the winners were determined:
- 1st place: Kateryna Mashoshina — Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 4th year of “International Law”
- 2nd place: Anna Kryzhanivska — Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 4th year of “International Law”
- 3rd place: Maria Krasylnykova — Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 2nd year of “International Law”
- 4th place: Vasyl Vasylenko — Yaroslav Mudry National Law University
- 5th place: Tetyana Lyubchenko — Polissia National University
The winners received monetary awards and the opportunity to intern in the structures of the National Association of Lawyers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and lawyer associations. The competition was organized by the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv jointly with the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Association of Lawyers of Ukraine, and the law firm “Popko Brothers & Partners”.
The second national essay competition on international relations concluded in the educational institution where the winners were determined, who received monetary awards and the opportunity to intern in renowned Ukrainian organizations. The initiative contributed to the development of student science and the activation of interest in modern diplomatic processes in the country.
