The USA deported 50 Ukrainians: how citizens were returned home

Today, November 18, 50 citizens of Ukraine, who were deported, returned from the United States of America. This information was confirmed by the spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko. The Ukrainians arrived through the 'Shehyni' border crossing with Poland and had all the necessary documents confirming their citizenship or right to return to Ukraine.



Ukraine accepts its citizens in any case. Currently, the circumstances under which the decision for their forced removal was made are also being clarified.


Next steps for Ukrainian border guards


Demchenko also noted that previously Ukraine received information from the USA about the deportation of stateless persons through Polish territory. The border guards processed their entry into Ukraine, adhering to the established legal rules.



Recently, a message about the deportation of Ukrainian citizens was announced in the United States. President Trump previously stated that Ukrainians who fled from the war would be allowed to remain in the country until the conflict is over. However, the State Border Service reported that there were no recorded mass deportations of Ukrainians from the USA.



By mentioning the return of 50 Ukrainians from the USA, the State Border Service also revealed details of the deportation of stateless persons through Polish territory and emphasized that all procedures were carried out in accordance with the law.
