Incident in Boryslav
In Boryslav, Lviv region, on January 7, 2023, around 22:20, a 58-year-old man attempted to rape a 14-year-old girl. The incident occurred when the perpetrator chased the schoolgirl, hit her in the face, and pushed her to the ground while trying to carry out the attack. Thanks to the conscious passersby who witnessed the event, the man was detained.
The detention took place in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The perpetrator has already been charged under part 3 of Article 15 and part 3 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns attempted rape. According to this article, the punishment is imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years.
